The new phone books are here! The new phone books are here!
sorry, I've been watching Steve Martin movies for a few hours now... I've been stuck at home sick with a high temp... not much else to do except watch movies, sleep.... and play with my new intel iMac that arrived yesterday!!! (I'd have played with it yesterday, but I've been sick since Wednesday, and until my temp fell back down to a range somewhere under that of the planet Mercury on a nice summer day, my sister wasn't willing to stop by my office, pick it up, and deliver it to me at home... I finally talked her into doing it late last night)
I did a quick test with Basilisk, it isn't working... but I'm not ruling it out. I'm using a downloaded ROM image and OS image, both of which were setup for a Windows version of Basilisk, so I can't rule out there being a problem with either, both, or something else in my setup. Its a touch hard to focus on the task right now.
Meanwhile, I'm using Mail.app to write this, and not enjoying it one bit.
As for the iMac... pretty sweet so far. The only thing I don't like is the remote control's magnetic mount. It is very picky as to where you place the remote. There is no marking on the case to indicate exactly where it should go, and it seems if you are off of the right spot by more than about 1/2 inch, the magnet poles swap and the iMac spits the remote onto the floor. Amusing the first 20 times it happened... now, not so much.
I'll play with Basilisk more a little later and report back my findings. I'm holding out some hope as the application itself starts up, it just crashes when I tell it to actually attempt to boot (which is what makes me think it is either a setting problem, or a bad ROM or boot disk image, both of which I can make known good ones next week when I am back at work)
