Hi again: I am terribly sorry but I just realized that the attachment I thought had come in with the disappearing message has also disappeared - it was NOT in the attachments folder.
Until just now - several connections after first seeing the mail "arrive", it and its attachment have both shown up. So, I guess I can live with a little delay, as long as I know that the mail will eventually get through.....
