The 16k Applescript "Shred Messages" does the same thing. I don't know if that will do less choking under the circumstances that Ruek mentions, because I don't get those particular kind of spams. I'm sending it "under separate cover" to Ruek & Chris to see if it helps. Anyone else who wants it, email me offlist. My strategy to deal with spam: 1) Deal with all the non-spam first, get it out of the "in" box. 2) Select the rest as a batch. 3) "Shred Messages" That gets rid of all the spam, including the attachments.
