>I have the same Problems under 10.4.5

Follow the same fix. It is a known issue with running Emailer in Classic
on OS X.

OS X stores Finder info about a folder in a file called .DS_Store. That
file is invisible in the Finder. When that file is created in the Temp
Incoming folder, it causes Emailer to fail to unpack new mail on the
first pass. The solution is to delete the .DS_Store file. However, since
it is invisible in the Finder, that means it isn't easy to delete. The
simple solution is to throw out the entire Temp Incoming folder and let
Emailer create a new one on its next launch.

However, when you throw out the Temp Incoming folder, if you keep the
Emailer Files folder open, the Finder almost always creates a new
.DS_Store file as soon as the Temp Incoming folder is created again. That
is why I tell people to close all open windows after throwing out the
Temp Incoming folder. It helps keep the Finder from recreating the
problem.

This problem effects all 2.x versions of Emailer running in Classic on
all versions of OS X.
