Since upgrading to a MDD dual 1.25 machine with OS 10.4.7, when
I launch EMailer, I get a dialog box that says something like:

"The server may not exist or may not be available."

When I dismiss the dialog, EMailer finishes lauching and connects
normally, retrieving any mail from the ISP. Not really a problem
except it prevents me from putting EMailer into the "startup" que.

I'm guessing you used to have Emailer on a different computer, and likely had multiple hard drives or volume partitions.

And likely you set something like your downloads folder for Emailer to one of those other volumes.

Now that you have Emailer on a machine with a single drive, it is probably still searching for the old set location and giving an error.

Go into your Prefs and make sure your file and folder locations are all set to a place that actually exists and is accessible to Emailer.
