I was the first one to respond, so I didn't realize that everyone
would be saying how they used emailer and on what. Don't count me
twice. :-)
I'll have to confess that soon after I got an iMac with OS X, I went
over to Mail. I could never seem to adjust font size in Emailer to
make it easily readable, and once I adjusted to it, Mail actually
meets all of my needs. I can't say that I miss the problems that I
see being discussed here, trying to make Emailer survive in a
changing world. Apple supports Mail, sends me automatic updates, and
I have never had a single glitch using the program.
My wife is still using Emailer on an OS 9 machine, so I'm hanging
around for her sake, and for general Mac -related gossip and
information.
