Over the last few months, I have noticed that e-mailer has been interfering with my ability to type. For example, if I am writing an e-mail message and e-mailer is unpacking messages at the same time, some of my key strokes will be missed. If I am in Word, and e-mailer is unpacking in the background, the same thing happens. (I do have some scripts that tell e-mailer to unpack to specific folders based on the address of the sender but I have been using these scripts for years without any problems).
I have 6500K allocated to Emailer. Virtual memory is on at 513M. What's going on? Should I allocate more memory to e-mailer? and if yes, how much? Should I rebuild e-mailer? I have not done a rebuild in a long time. I just ran Norton Utilities (one minor problem found0...I also defraged using NU....and I also ran Disk Warrior...and also did a rebulid of the Desktop. I asked this same question in August and Chris responded "Make sure you have enough RAM assigned to Emailer".....how much is enough?
