Mostly a lurker, though you folks helped me out with a problem once, more 
actively. 

Port Townsend Washington, a liberal oasis on the NE tip of the Olympic 
Peninsula, a sizeable land mass west of Seattle (which I used to think was 
on the Pacific Ocean). Victorian seaport, lots of boats, music, arts, 
liberal activism, local economy -- and home to a disproportionate number of 
Birkenstocks, Volvos, and Macintosh computers.
