Want to thank everyone for helping out after my Browser disappeared. I now have my folders and archive back thanks to my Dec.15th backup. Turns out that the difficulty I was having in restoring the folders was with the Index in the Mail folder. The larger file of 60 MB had somehow become displaced from its related Database file of 393 MB in the Mail folder.
Now I am thinking how to efficiently transfer the 189 CE mails now residing in my OS9 laptop from Jan. 14th to Jan. 26th to my OS 9/X laptop without having to deal with each message separately and would like the lists advice. I am thinking of forwarding them to myself and recognizing these files by inserting the word transfer in front of each subject matter. Is that the best way to go? My other problem concerns deletion of unwanted files I don't need to archive. This whole disaster of losing the browzer began when I deleted some folders that contained returned mail from the list that I run. I filed them in order to analyze why they had been returned (with different reasons given by the server). I actually deleted the whole folder with the emails in them and am wondering if I should first have selected and deleted the files within the folders? Your advice as usual is most appreciated, Bea ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
