Dear List, I am archiving some mail database stuff on DVD. For this purpose I use an iMac G4 1GHz with superdrive. (Bowl with 17" TFT flat screen attached)
It needs DVD-R disks. Later models use DVD+R. It has a SONY recorder. After I attempted to write 5 disks, only 2 were succesful. I have 3 disks that had an error halfway during the burn. Is something known about defects or updates or problems with these (first) DVD recorders inside the iMac 1GHz Flatscreen ? I would like to replace the drive.. and maybe upgrade the iMac.
