I use my old Pismo G3 - 500 mhz - for emailing - but I have never problems until recently - and it may indeed be connected with Flip4mac. Maybe I will try playing the same files using Wmv Player instead (will have to reinstall) - which is working fine playing everything on my G5 when I transfer files to it. > Any time you >see an email that tells you for any reason to forward it to other >people, don't do it. It is junk and just a chain letter. Whatever it >tells you will happen (or not happen) if you forward it (or don't >forward it) is a lie. Well, of course I know that! [When forwarding, nothing extraneous ever gets sent either. No one else's address, no attachment besides the specific file.] In this case, I just wanted to open the other attachment, which I was hoping contained the answer to the riddle. I guess it was, as you say, some web graphic. >You put in a list of email addresses and click a Forward >button that is right inside the email body. DO NOT DO THIS EVER!!!! I don't like html so am not inclined to do this - don't really like any of the new bells and whistles - but it is because everyone else is using them that I can't open attachments anymore it seems. >Correct, once Emailer converts it to an attachment, the HTML headers >are destroyed from the email body. Forwarding it on to an HTML >compliant mail app doesn't recreate those headers, rather Emailer >specifically sets MIME headers saying the files are attachments and >not body text. This is good to know in case someone at the other end is questioning things! Thanks Chris!
