I am trying to take my 20 email accounts and use them with Emailer at a
ATT network.

Does the AT&T network require SMTP Authentication? If so, then this won't work with Emailer as emailer is going to send the username and password for each POP account, which AT&T won't consider to be valid.

If they do not require authentication, but just require use over port 587, let me know and I might be able to work out a solution for you (if you are on OS X, the built in firewall should be able to handle this for you, if not ipfw can from the command line).

I can't use a ATT smtp server, as I don't have an email address under
ATT/Yahoo. Not sure what my options might be. Travelling has started
becoming a huge PITA, unfortunately.

Then what was it that required port 587 access?

OH... AT&T is one of those annoying ISPs that blocks port 25 to all but their own server? They tell you if you need to access a different SMTP server to use port 587? Well, that assumes the other SMTP server you are trying to use supports port 587 access, not all of them do. In this case, if one of your other mail hosts supports port 587, then the version you are using should work (assuming you left all your account settings the same as before you started trying to use the AT&T network)

Is AT&T one of the SUPER annoying (as in, our admins have their heads totally up their asses), ISPs that not only blocks port 25 but ALSO requires SMTP Authentication for access to the only mail server they allow people to reach? If so, you are screwed if you plan to keep using Emailer. However, some of the ISPs that block port 25 leave their servers open using just IP authentication. In other words, you might be able to use a regular version of Emailer and just change the SMTP Server to the AT&T one and all will be fine (regular meaning not a SMTP Auth hacked version, although the dual @ and POP before SMTP versions should be fine)

For what it is worth, Baton Mail was designed to deal with all these strange server choices and issues. But honestly, I'd recommend a new mail client before I recommend Baton Mail :-)
