The following is a duplicate of a mail just sent to Sheaffe with attachments.
Hi Sheafe: I tried sending you a couple of other applescripts which you might find useful (I use them along with Shred Messages, depending upon what I want to to....), but my email was returned because your ISP was blacklisting my ISP. It took quite a while to get that fixed! Shred Messages works really well from your Browser with mail you know you never want to open. The other two are good for dealing with mail from friends. Here they are again attached: >Trash Messages and "Attachments" (not "Enclosures") > >and > >Trash Attachments. > The former works really well (far better than you version "Enclosures"). The mail goes into your Deleted Folder and the attachment into your Trash. Unlike Shred Messages, you can invoke it from an open mail that, upon reading, you decide you no longer want to keep. With the latter, you can keep an email from a friend, but still get rid of all that extraneous attached material that seems to come with more and more mail these days! It also allows you to go through open Mail Messages using it. With a message open, invoke the script and the attachments will be Trashed, but the email will remain open, so you can keep it or delete it separately by Pressing the Next Arrow while Holding Down the Option key. This way you can rapidly deal with your In Box without manually opening mail from your Browser.
