     Thank you for so much for the info below.  I just discovered through 
you that 'there are' Preferences for Spotlight.  As to the Temp Incoming 
I think
mine is in a mess and when I come up for air will try to do something 
about it.
Wish one of our CE technies was located in the L.A. area that might be 
willing to fine tune my CE software - all of the techie's I know are all 
too willing to give up on CE!
