Not a CE question - but at least it is related to networking and Classic! Now that I have a new HD on my desktop, I can't use my former setup to connect to it from my Laptop. (Although I can connect in the opposite direction.)
Every time I restart Classic (which I have had to do several times lately due to the CE connection problems) I get two consecutive windows telling me: "The server may not exist or it is not operational at this time. Check the server name or IP address and try again." I get the same message if I go to Go>Connect to Server in the Finder menu in OSX. How can I find the correct IP address to connect to? I have looked in the Desktop's System Profiler and used the #listed there under "IPv4" - it is the same except for the last 3 digits. Also, how do I turn off these automatic attempts to connect that Classic is making? I have been to the File Sharing control panel "Users" tab but the delete button is greyed out. There doesn't seem to be another relevant panel.
