Re alternatives to CE and Thunderbird. Any program that is good and
suits the work of some, may not suit the work of another, particular if
its an action that we use frequently.

For example I have group addresses, one group for each letter of the
alphabet. I transfer the group to an Email when I am sending them a
message. Sometimes in the transfer I have inadvertently lost the whole
group. As a result I've learned to file a copy of each group as a
back-up.

In Claris all I have to do to copy that group is bring up 'New Group' in
the Address Book and drag the original copy to the new window, and mark
it '(A) copy' and save. Its that easy.

In addition when I add a new address to the group it shows the total
number in that group. And this allows me to know that I must dump the
old copy and replace it with the new group showing the larger number of
addresses in the file.

Before I worked out how to handle this, I had to type the new address in
each of the files - and when you are busy its easy to make a mistake when
doing this. My question is, how does the Address Book work in
Thunderbird ?
