Well, SHAZAM is just an expression from the old Captain Marvel
comic books, if I remember correctly. The meaning is the same as
the word "whammo." It means that something marvelous has just
happened.

My "new" old PowerBook G4 was upgraded to a 100 gig hard drive by
the previous owner. Plenty of room for those three operating
systems. It's a real kick!

Well, I started with a Mac Plus at the end of 1987, and I have
followed along ever since. So I have a couple of decades of stuff
invested in the old OS. First and foremost Emailer. Therefore
having an OS which will run Classic is just about a "must." It
is great that I can also have a partition that will run 10.5.x
and probably anything else to come along for a while.

I learned that I could partition my HD "on-the-fly" without losing
any of the contents from David Pogue's "Missing Manuals" It
requires 10.5.x to do that. Check out Pogue's "Missing Manual
for OS 10.5" to find out how to do that. And also check out
Pogue's "Missing Manual for OS 10.4" to find out all the "tricks
of the trade" in using Classic to run Emailer and all the old
programs. These are both available from amazon.com. They have
used copies at a discount, and since 10.4 is now an "old"
system, that book can be had for peanuts.

Best regards,

Bill
