I have a performance related question with EMANE, specificaly Demo 7 (https://github.com/adjacentlink/emane-tutorial/wiki/Demonstration-7). I am hoping someone could help me understand why I get terrible throughput with my simple setup.
I deployed the emanedemo-0.9.x virtual machine on a MacAir (Mid 2013 model, Core i7, 8G RAM) using VMware Fusion. I then started Demo 7 and ran the command: emaneevent-commeffect 1:2 unicast=1000000000 broadcast=1000000000 loss=0 jitter=0 latency=0 -i lo This created the link between nodes 1 and 2, visually verified with the OLSR/GPS viewer. With this I believe I am creating a fast, reliable connection between the nodes but I can't seem to get secure copy (scp) transmission to go beyond ~200KB/sec. I suspect it is a simple thing; can anyone offer suggestions as to what I may be missing?.
