Location - Dallas, TX Duration - 6 Months Rate-Open Client - AT&T Locals Only, there will be a direct in person interview Skills: Ø Need 7-10 years of experience in a fast paced environment doing Oracle DBA production support Ø Multi-terabyte environment (5-10 TB). Ø Oracle 9i/10g Ø RMAN Ø RAC Ø Dataguard Ø Shell Scripting, Perl Ø Telecom is a plus Ø 24x7 Production Support Description: Responsible for preparing Billing System upgrade, troubleshooting and supporting (Mainly on HP UNIX 11i and Oracle 9i, Oracle 10G). Includes, database capacity planning (billing cycle management), Tuning SQL statement, Table range partitioning, using SQL Impact 3.4 to analyze performance changes to database object, i.e. additional indexes, columns. Structure changes, object rebuilds and using stored outline as the result of application tuning. Preparing PL/SQL scripts (using copyban & ref_copy tools) to copy selected data from production to development environment, preparing SQL scripts to create and rebuild all kinds of schema objects, providing support for advanced replication. Perform backup and recovery using RMAN. Providing 7/24 on call for production and lab.
