Location: Boston,MA Duration: 3-6 months Responsible for development and maintenance of Oracle's Siebel CRM Application Suite, with focused expertise on the Siebel Sales Modules. This position will work independently and take minimal direction from the Software Engineering leadership team as appropriate. This position's focus is as lead solution designer and technical expert for the Siebel Application Suite and will provide direction to additional staff resources as needed to manage and enhance the application's functional, process and integration components. This resource will be proficient in the entire Software Development Life Cycle and will function in multiple roles within the cycle, with focus on solution design, software development, unit testing (of code developed by self and others), leading code reviews and authoring application documentation. This resource will be part of a project based work model and will at times lead a team of Software and Systems Engineering resources managed by a Project Manager for funded initiatives, as well as regularly manage a queue of identified application bugs and minor enhance requests prioritized by the Business. Will work with other Software Engineers, Systems Engineers, DBA's Business Analysts and Business Subject Manager Experts/Super Users to validate business problems or identify opportunities for process or systems improvements. Will provide analysis, solution design alternatives, and implement design via approved methods (configuration, workflow, scripting, etc). This resource will also be responsible for implementation of very complex coding assignments. Will shows leadership in the technical aspects of software development through development practice, improving technical standards, leading design efforts and mentoring Software Associates and Software Engineers and other Senior Software Engineers. Maintains up to date industry knowledge, and application fluency in Siebel and CRM application suites and innovations, and regularly proposes and implements improvements within the organization's software engineering practices and guidelines... Essential/Key Areas of Responsibility · Performs complex application code development , maintenance and debugging · Performs unit test on assigned work for self and others · Prepares application technical documentation spanning multiple lifecycle phases · Leads code reviews · Develops and adheres to technical standards · Designs new applications and new functionality within existing applications. · Leads systems design efforts to ensure major design issues such as system integration, security, performance, data integrity and scalability are addressed. · Performs third level support function for reported issues (via IM standard issue tracking applications; Service Center, MKS) · Mentors other team members in technical aspect and coding standards · Exhibits proficiency in the software development lifecycle. May play multiple roles within the lifecycle. · Proposes and implements improvements within the organization's software engineering practices III. Educational & Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree with 10 plus years software industry experience.
