Position: Project Manager Client: Lockheed Martin Location: Baltimore, MD Duration: 6+ months Rate:55/hr DESCRIPTION Provide IT project management on the LM CITIC program for the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services. Serves as the Project Manager for multiple, complex work orders. Responsible for the overall management of the specific projects and insuring that the technical solutions are implemented in schedule and in the allocated budget. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with the team and the customer. Ensures the development of documentation and processes to support the project solution. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Required Skills: Demonstrated project management knowledge and skills Experience in managing small to mid-size projects Information Technology professional experience Exceptional communication skills with customer level audience Demonstrated ability to leverage new technologies to solve business problems with appropriate business case development Proven leadership skills Demonstrated team building and teaming skills Desired Skills: Certification in Project Mgmt, Understanding of various OS Platforms, UNIX, Windows, Mainframe Domain experience in Microsoft technologies. Understanding of Networking Infrastructure WAN?s, LAN?s. Experience with Standard Engineering Process. Lean Thinking/Six Sigma methodology. Education: Bachelor Degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10 years of professional experience; or 8 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
