Qualifications:
- 8 - 10 years professional IT experience
- Experience working in a sizable IT environment in a large corporate
setting
- Experience leading teams
- Knowledge and experience working with J2EE architectures (EJB, RAS)
- - Experience working through issues surrounding the interactions between
the Java business framework layer and the Data Access layer

*- Experience working through issues surrounding the interrelationships
between data transaction types
- Knowledge and experience constructing and supporting data mart data
modeling efforts
- Familiarity with the following:
- Batch processing issues
- Off-peak and day-end processing issues
- MQ and MessageBroker
- Geneva
- Business Objects
- Experience working with test teams
- Experience developing strategies for testing between applications and
underlying data-related changes - Experience deriving and managing test data
sets for data model and data migration validation*

Responsibilities:
*
The candidate for this specialty role will cover a very broad range of tasks
and responsibilities. The job is positioned within the client's test
organization for purposes of objective accountability in reviewing and
validating the work of the development and data teams as input into the
testing system. Because of the close association with testing, a portion of
the job responsibilities will be firmly test-oriented from a traditional
sense. However far more important is the role the candidate will play in
leading and mediating between the testing teams and the development and data
teams

- Work with co-leads on test teams to drive detailed technical validation
designs for interfaces between application and data layers

- Work with the development and data teams to identify and document
interface validation points
- Participate in the high-level planning of testing the interfaces
- Provide direction to the development and data team leads for the testing
and validation of these interfaces
- Work with application test teams to explain validation points to test a
given interface
- Deliver validation design documents or other test artifacts to improve
existing test approaches, plans and scenarios

- Serve as point of contact with regards to specific interfaces (requires
interactions with dev and data teams, test teams, and various project team
members)

- Mentor test team on validation and test deliverables
- Includes creating and developing the deliverables
- Coaching on appropriate entrance/exit criteria between dev/data teams and
test teams
- Walking through data sampling and risk-based test approaches
- Formally reviewing the deliverables in team meetings
- Assign and delegate tasks related to the execution of interface testing as
appropriate (note that the expectation includes doing some of this work as
well)

- Manage the defect resolution process between the dev/data teams and
testing
- Communication to management of team progress with regards to promised
milestones
