Desired Skills: ACE; messaging middleware (Tibco EMS/Rendezvous/SmartSockets, 29West LBM); Perl; SQL (Oracle and/or Sybase; having C#, JUNIT or NUNIT is a plus Education: BS or above in Computer Science or similar field; MS or above preferred Job Description: The candidate will be responsible for architecture, design and development of core components and tools as well as production support for Credit Suisse's Smart Order Router (SOR). SOR is a part of Credit Suisse Execution Services complex responsible for advanced algorithmic order execution both for Agency and Prop orders. SOR is connected to most of US and Canadian execution venues including exchanges, ECNs and ATSes (`dark pools`) and is responsible for optimization of order execution along predefined execution strategy. SOR is one of the most critical systems for CS Equities with direct implications for the bottom line of the award-winning AES franchise. The role will involve system analysis, design, development, testing and support. The candidate must have experience developing high-performance, distributed, multi-threaded, asynchronous applications in C++. Experience with messaging middleware and distribution technologies is required. Database experience: SQL, stored procedures, schema design is preferred, but is not crucial. Familiarity with Agile development process, particularly `test first` development, is a plus. The candidate should be able to work independently and also collaborate well in the small team environment.
