Duration: 10 Months. * * * * The incumbent's primary responsibilities will be in support of the Livestock Consolidation Project for the Livestock Automation group. Ideally we are looking for a PM that also has a BA background. A BA background is not a requirement, but would be ideal As a Project Manager for the project, the responsibilities will include: •Create/maintain project plan •Workload coordination of project team •Schedule/facilitate project status meetings •Maintain project timeline & budget/forecast •Be a primary contact & facilitator of project information to the business partners. Qualifications: Previous experience managing large projects is required •Knowledge of the P&C Framework is desired. •Experience maintaining project forecasts is required. •Excellent written and verbal communication is required. •Knowledge of the Hartford Governance 3.0 process/artifacts is desired. •Experience maintaining Invest request via ITG is desired. •Experience managing a web based product (ASP.NET) is desired. •BA experience is a plus (gathering requirements, documenting use cases, activity diagrams, workflows, etc.) •Experience using Requisite Pro is a plus. Individuals in Project Management are professionals who are responsible for the overall success of a wide range of projects of varying levels of complexity. Project Managers are accountable for project initiation and planning, and for overseeing development, testing, implementation, and closeout. This includes initial project planning efforts such as developing the project scope, defining project guidelines, obtaining business and IT sponsor approvals, and coordinating the resources necessary to successfully complete the project. Once a project is set in motion, the Project Manager is expected to communicate major milestones, identify potential project risks, provide continuing direction to the project team, and conduct regular status meetings to review project activities. Project Management professionals are also responsible for prioritizing procedures for changing scope and project acceptance procedures. Nearing project completion, the Project Manager is expected to obtain feedback to assure that project efforts meet customer expectations for agreed upon schedule, cost and objectives. Project Managers are expected to provide the highest level of expertise in the application of the tools and techniques of the project management discipline.
