Mainframe Storage Administrators - L3 =================== 1) Contributes significantly to the overall satisfaction of computer systems customers through efficient planning and administration of the systems storage and backup environments. Conducts or oversees the planning, installation, configuration, conversion, modification, testing, tuning, debugging, and administration of DASD and attached HSM Tape infrastructure and other generalized program products involving significant complexity and scope at all host computer installations. 2) Coordinates technical activities of departmental project teams comprised of multiple support groups to achieve the successful introduction of technology enhancements without disrupting systems environment stability. 3) SAN infrastructure configuration 4) Storage systems check: Monitor and alert failures within external arrays, tape libraries and SAN fabric components in order to identify and rectify potential hardware failures. 5) Space provisioning 6) Storage status 7) This person should have a minimum of 7+ years IT experience •Certifications in EMC(DMX) storage related technologies is a must •Experience in Designing, Implementing and Supporting Storage Infrastructure. 8) Experience in designing, implementing and supporting backup/recovery solutions. 9) Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 10) Mainframe Storage System: CA - Allocate (DAS), HSM 11) Mainframe Storage Management Tools: CA - Vantage SMS Configuration 12) Add / remove volumes from the Storage groups HSM Administration 13) Monitor CDSs for percent full, extents. 14) Monitor status of functions (Active vs. Held). 15) Media administration. ================= DURATION: 6 MONTHS LOCATION: LOSANGELES Please respond with Resume, Rate and Phone numbers of the Consultant.
