In addition, responsibilities of the position will also include extracting and generating reports from an Oracle Clinical database. The successful candidate will also have a commitment to delivering quality work. A strong sense of task ownership, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, team oriented environment. *Responsibilities* · Manage the status of multiple Oracle environments and database instances. This includes system resource monitoring, backup activities, and disaster recovery planning. · Ability to develop advanced level SQL and SQL*Plus code · Substantial experience creating and maintaining Oracle Clinical extract views, using study design mapping tables · Generate clinical data reports that are delivered to external customers · Provide patch/release analysis and guidance, apply and validate relevant updates · Manage UNIX and Windows 2003 Server components across multiple environments · Document activities and work according to SOPs. Writes clearly and accurately · Maintain a safe work environment. Reports workplace hazards immediately · Provide end user training as needed *Qualifications* · Minimum of BS degree in computer science or similar field or related experience. · *Three- to five-years experience as an Oracle* DBA · Expert in development skills *using PL/SQL, SQL.* · Demonstrated experience administering *Oracle databases in regulated, clinical environments* · Experience using *Oracle Clinical, or another CDMS, is* highly desirable · Experience *using SAS is desirable* · Effective communication skills; a cooperative and team oriented approach · Experience in a regulated environment, *especially pharmaceutical (21 CFR Part 11),* · Demonstrated ability to work independently and to follow through with detailed assignments · Good time management and organization skills; the ability to prioritize own work to meet tight deadlines while maintaining the highest standards of work · Strong interpersonal and communication skills; capable of production technical support, training · users and writing comprehensive reports.
