**Locals in OR around Irvine, CA only** For a manufacturing company that specializes in automotive repair products and inventory management products. The company has a legacy Java based application called SIS (supplemental invoicing system) that they give to their client automotive dealerships and repair shots. The SIS allows repair shops to track usage of chemicals and fasteners that normally do not get tracked and gives their clients the ability to bill insurance for their usage instead of eating the costs. Additional features include being able to pick a repair item (replacing a bumper, for instance) and having a screen come up with all the normal usage amounts for that repair. The screen is editable for actual usage and printable to bill to the insurance company. The software also keeps track of on-hand inventory for small parts/chemicals and, ideally, allows the dealership/repair shop to order from the company to replace them. The original application was built without a database (flat files) and is being ported to MySQL. There was no original documentation and the original developer is no longer with the company. This position will interface with a Project Manager/Systems Analyst. They need someone who can run a development project end to end, help create documentation, and work closely with the other two people on the team. The must have both front end as well as back end development experience, ideally with stand alone systems (Java/Swing, not Java/J2EE). Thanks for your support, Jayan K.
