In case it's helpful, I find this file gives me errors:

[-
$req_rec;
-]
--cut--
and I I don't think it should.
The versions of things are:
Apache/1.3.11 (Unix) mod_perl/1.19 HTML::Embperl 1.3b6
perl is 5.004_04.
