You can add a
SetEnv EMPPERL_LOGFILE /path/to/embperl.log
or if you don't run Apache and can't set an environment variable, add it to
the top of embpcgi.pl, just like
$ENV{EMPPERL_LOGFILE} = '/path/to/embperl.log' ;
