Sure you have 1.2.1 ? it's very old. Anyway it shouldn't have this behaviour

Which browser do you using ?
For some versions of Netscape I have seen such a behaviour when you have a
table that is not closed correctly.
Does this occurs with all pages ? Maybe you try a very simple page, with
only a word of text and no html. Does it still hang ?
