I am accustomed to UNIX and neglected to escape the backslash in the
pathname of the epl file. Everything works fine. Embperl could really be a
big watershed for me in my work if html editors like frontpage and
dreamweaver take a hands off approach to the embedded perl code. I prefer
this to the cgi.pm approach.

regards.

If you don't have it, just download the source distribution
(ftp://ftp.dev.ecos.de/pub/perl/embperl) and take it out of it.

Just hit "reply all", instead of "reply" within your mail program
