I am very suprised to see such post on emc-developers. So you have complete source coce of EMC2 available, and you have complete manual with description of program modules. But there is more than just conversion to steps, there is complete trajectory planner too.
I suppose you need this as some kind of school homework assignment, right? I suggest that you find some pdf files either in preinstalled EMC2 package or download it separately. You have to find it alone, because I have to get to work. Use google where necessary.
