Nono, it's fast, it's only that I have better things to do than wait for a 
complete rebuild of all the kernel+assorted modules (and then reboot and test 
for lockups!) for every processor type between pentium classic and K7!

Never used the core2 cpus (only amd64x2)

Same as I said a few days ago... realtime for more complex architecture has 
more serious issues than for simpler one... just look at the size of a process 
state for context switching!

As I tought then... maybe some stuff in the emc2 build system isn't aware of 
these things (after all the reference system is the ubuntu kernel. I don't know 
if there is a K7 optimized kernel for that).
