The %f may be confusing things, IIRC rtapi_print_msg(), which is what
ERR() calls, doesnt support printing floats. <<
That makes sense, because some of the traps I was putting in weren't
triggering when they should have.

Would you see if you can trigger this problem without running emc, by
loading the driver and setting up the HAL stuff "manually"? That's how I do
my testing here and I've never seen a runaway. <<
I don't think I am really going to know now. I am working with the
development machine, which is not connected to hardware. I can reproduce the
following error without hardware, but I can't really see if I am getting a
run-away, unless it shows up in counts or position-cmd.
I will let you know what I find.
