This is not what I am talking about.
In this case I want a way to display what AXIS displays in X Y Z
For instance maybe I want to have a display that I can read from
10 feet away-not everybody has a table top lathe :)
I don't care if HALUI gives me this info or AXIS or any other way.
Whatever makes the most sense. That why I'm was asking for
ideas.
the machine state is not being changed when you set AXIS to

I'm talking about a few odds and ends-not an entire GUI
I understand that EMC can be run with multiple GUI- That is why having
AXIS (or whatever GUI) export a few hal pins for status on some internal
data would probably be better.

If I was trying to have complete screen builder functionality I think I would
use
gtk's glade instead of thinker ( or does thinker have a glade equivalent? )
Not a bad long term idea but that is not what i was talking about.
I want to add a panel to AXIS that displays X Y Z position in larger font
I want it larger then AXIS's new large font and I don't want it in the
Graphics area.
If you have a really recent trunk run stepconf and select xyz-button pyvcp
panel. That will show you what I'm trying to do.
