hey All,

first message on the list... first patch, first everything I guess :)
name is Ries van Twisk and I own a Mechmate router (http://www.rvantwisk.nl/~systemcms/IMG_0200.JPG)

Since my current system is mouse/keyboard controlled,
I sometimes press the 'Home Axis' button and this would directly re-home my machine.
To prevent this I want to propose the following change.

--- Home Axis -- button
- When a axis is no homed, we home directly
- When a axis was already homed, we show a message box 'Are you sure you want to re-home yes or no'.

--- Home All -- button
- When any of the axis is not homed, we home directly.
- Only when all axis are already home, we show a message box 'Are you sure you want to re-home yes or no'.

The patch introduces a additional class (_prompt_areyousure) within axis.py,
that can potentially re-used by other questionaries.

The patch is created against head/trunk (whatever they call it in git)

Thanks to Chris for helping me out!

@all,

are per discussion on emc-devel

The patches is changed to show Ok instead of Yes.

The following keybindings has been tested

key -> action
esc -> cancels homing (same as pressing cancel button)
space -> accepts homing (same as pressing ok button)
dialog quit -> cancels homing
return -> accepts homing
kp_return -> accepts homing

there was a discussion going on if this patch should be added. Against are:
- people that uses the home all button to place there workspace might complain, against this is : but they use the software wrong.

Options for 'don't show me this again' per session could be accepted if there are lot's of people using home all/home axis to place there work piece,
then only the dialog will be shown once per axis session.
Option per program setting (between settings) to store the info 'Don't ask me again' also means a framework/dialog needs to get added to reset these runtime settings (extra work). This could also be done using a menu setting, but personally I don't feel we should clutter the menu with this...

Reasons for this patch are:
if you have a gantry router (I I happen to have one) that is large (100pounds) and re-homing
is set somewhere in the middle of the worktable then jogging might mean that you crash
the gantry into one of the ends. Even if the system runs slow, it's can still potentially mean big damage.
Due to this you have to re-home after you press accidentally the home axis button to
prevent mistakes, then do all teh touch off work..

patch attached, thanks to everybody!

Ries
