I seem to recall some years ago the EMC developers were looking for any
implementations of the IEC 61131-3 programming languages used for PLCs.
Well, let me call your attention to the beremiz project (www.beremiz.org).
The Beremiz project has developed a graphical development environment for
developing automation projects based on all IEC 61131-3 languages (LD, IL, ST,
FBD and SFC). These projects are saved in standardised XML, and then further
'compiled' into equivalent C code. This C code is platform independent,
although currently a little code exists to ease it's execution under Linux and
Windows OSs.
Currently it can only interface to CANOpen nodes, but I have a Modbus
implementation coming up shortly.
Beremiz is currently distributed under the GPL v2, so you are welcome to re-
use it if you see fit.
