A discussion on the forum made me think that the existing 2-gear gearchange.comp was possibly a bit limiting, so I have modified it to use "personality" to support up to 32 gears. (Though perhaps that is also an arbitrarily low limit?)
It is a bit scruffy in its pin names, and contains some inelegant special cases. These are both to retain compatibility with existing installations. If that is not important then I would happily and quickly neaten things up.
