Hi,
I have installed the CNC-ubuntu (EMC2) several times on my old Dell computer.
It has 1GHz processor, 512Meg Memory and 20Gig hard drive.
I login and the desktop for Ubuntu is empty. It is just the purple color. No
programs or start menu.
I can right click on the desktop and chose to create a new folder.
No CNC, no axis, no programs.
Does this sound like something other people have encountered?
I tried to search the Source-forge tracker and the past e-mails but didn't see
anything.
Next, I downloaded the latest Ubuntu without CNC. It installed fine. My
wireless bluetooth even worked perfectly. It is the same computer.
Next I'll try to manually install the CNC programs. I don't know much about
Linux so I'm not sure I will be able to add the CNC program to my plain Ubuntu
(Hardy).
It would be reat if someone hase an easy fix for installing EMC2 from the ISO.
Thank you,
Dave
