Greetings I am exploring the use of hal_input with a variant of a joystick device (Contour Shuttle eXpress).
The device appears fine when you do: & lsusb -v I have set up a new file /etc/udev/rules.d/60-USB_input.rules containing: SUBSYSTEM=="input", mode="0660", group="plugdev" Plugging and unplugging the device give a log of coming and goings in dmesg The loadusr hal_input -KRAL <path of device> gives error words to effect of "inputs not found - could be configuration look at the UDEV setup". Are there any tools/techniques to see what the permissions actually are and/or if the device really does not present things that are seen as axes, buttons etc? Most of the wiki articles seem to exploit or at least include hal_joystick in the testing.
