I have seen (here or on the forums) situations where it would be handy yo cope with a pre-existing toolchain which outputs a specific and slightly incompatible version of G-code. It could potentially remove a barrier to adoption in some situations. One other (though aesthetically unpleasing) situation would be redefinign G2 and G3 in a situation where a preprocessor makes a bad job of rounding the arc centres. The redefined codes could re-calculate a best-guess arc centre with more decimal places. -- atp "Torque wrenches are for the obedience of fools and the guidance of wise men" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ WhatsUp Gold - Download Free Network Management Software The most intuitive, comprehensive, and cost-effective network management toolset available today.
