Gentle persons:

While reviewing the V2.5 documentation I was struck by the variety of
ways we express copyright and license terms (or not, as the case may be).

The Copyright and Documentation License part of the EMC2 documentation
presumably covers all parts of the documents. Yet, individual copyright
and LICENSE statements also appear in some of the parts, notably the man
pages. Which prevails?

Also, some man pages invoke GPL, at least one GPL v2, at least one GPL
v2 or greater, and many say nothing (as well, none invokes the GFDL).
Apart from the appropriate choice of license issue, does such a
statement cover the man page or the underlying code or both?

Regards,
Kent
