IMHO during normal operation It does not make sense to jog in "free" mode with non-trivial kinematics. Especially with parallel kinematics (hexapods etc) - it will just brake the machine. Since the tool is described with its position in cartesian space and that is what operator sees in the screen, I think it should not only be optional, but mandatory to jog _only_ in coordinated mode (or whatever else, where kinematics are active).
