Thanks to a couple of guys on the Olimex forums that know a whole lot more about kernels than I do, a xenomai enabled kernel is really close. There is still some concern as to which timer to use, but a couple of working kernels have been built.
I have started working on porting lcnc, specifically by trying to adapt the instructions here: http://wiki.linuxcnc.org/cgi-bin/wiki.pl?Debian_Wheezy_Linux-Rt_Compile_Linu xCNC I have installed a base Debian Wheezy, xfce, and a functional tool chain local to the Olinuxino. My question is with section 3.2: <quote> You should be in your working-copy directory at this point. Note that the configure step below will complain about not finding a supported kernel (the packaging files are still looking for an RTAI patched kernel), but since we're building to run in place and are not trying to build a .deb package, that's OK for now. debian/configure -r dpkg-checkbuilddeps sudo aptitude install <missing builddep packages except for rtai> </quote> When I run dpkg-checkbuilddeps I get three unresolved packages, specifically: linux-image-3.4.24xenomai-alpha-dirty rtai-modules-3.4.24xenomai-alpha-dirty linux-headers-3.4.24xenomai-alpha-dirty Are any of those necessary, or are they all part of the expected complaining about not finding a supported kernel?
