But a 3.8.2 build has two problems.
1. Unless every possible ext4 function including debug is built into the kernel, it cannot find the / partition, which is ext4. After fixing that: 2. Its hanging about 5 seconds into the boot trying to mount a drive that doesn't exist anyplace in the /etc tree. I plug one in and it hangs on the next drive that really doesn't exist. For about 20 seconds, then falls out to a busybox prompt, with no mouse or keyboard function. Udev screw up? So, I'm back on our 10.04-4-122-rtai kernel.
