While you can set NO_FORCED_HOMING in the INI, this doesn't initialize the
machine
with the current absolute feedback position, It reloads from a saved position
file.

It is conceivable that the actual position and saved position could be out -
not sure
how you would resynch them automatically
The emulated behaviour suggestion is one of a work around and yes sub-optimal.
