Can anyone point me in the right direction to adding a current mode (mdi
or manual) output pin to axis? I can't see anywhere in the code where a
pin could be set to reflect the current mode.
Why? Using the existing set_manual_mode pin and, the just submitted
patch[1] for, set_mdi_mode I can program two buttons on my pendant to
switch axis modes (scenario: crouching by the machine, jogging in
manual mode to get the tool above my touchoff plate then needing to
switch to mdi mode to actually run the z-touchoff routine) but I'd like
to use toggle and toggle2nist so that one button toggles the mode.
To do this, toggle2nist needs to 'know' the current mode of axis via a
pin.
'course this could be a completely cack-handed way of doing it; if so
please enlighten me.
[1] - *NOT* my original work, it was taken from the forum as a suggestion
by Big John T for someone else with a pendant.
