unfortunately I am away and will be able to test further only in two 
weeks.

I selected the board "5i25" from the drop down list and filled all the 
relevant fields AFAIK. 

Looking at the documentation here linuxcnc.org/docs/html/pncconf.html 
section 2, and working from memory, I only had to fill the machine name 
field, select proper board, and the rest is pre-filled so there is nothing 
I could fill more...

so, this still seems to be a bug...
