I totally agree. The Getting Started guide should teach new users what LinuxCNC is, and show them the minimal amount of work needed to install it and run one of the canned demo configs (sim and real hardware). The work i've done so far has not addressed contents at all, just organization. We now have a stand-alone Getting Started HTML document (with translations) that contains the same info as the Getting Started PDF.
