I'm working on a "safe" probing routine and am having a debugging issue.
When does linuxcnc reload a new version of a subroutine? If I fix a bug in a routine, will the interpreter look at the file and see if it has changed, or will it continue to use the version in memory? I believe that when I wrote the original code, it would just use the version in memory. (Can you say quick and dirty implementation?) I'd rather NOT have to restart the system each time I make a change to a subroutine when I'm debugging. That requires homing the axes, etc... Has anyone fixed that deficiency?
